Bridging Art and Fashion: The Debut of Visual Arts at VIE Fashion Week
At the 8th edition of VIE Fashion Week, held at the Dubai World Trade Center, the Visual Arts section was introduced for the first time, curated by Zahra Habibizad and organized by O4 Gallery. This section brought an interdisciplinary perspective to the event, offering a new platform for dialogue between contemporary art and fashion.
Sixteen artists from thirteen countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America participated. The exhibited works included paintings, sculptures, installations, and fashion-inspired pieces, each reflecting a range of personal and cultural narratives.
The curatorial vision focused on creating a conversation between fashion and visual art. Emphasizing the individuality of each work and artist, the exhibition space was designed to reflect both distinct narratives and a collective dialogue on contemporary creativity. The project aimed to “map shared borders between form, culture, and emotion.”
